Gayle EdgertonFirst Appearance: X-Men: Prime (alternate version); Generation X # 12
Profile: Gayle was born to an affluent family and grew up in London, where she met Jono. The two formed a close relationship, making plans for their future together. When Jono's powers manifested, Gayle was caught in the explosion. Jono disappeared from her life immediately after and failed to stay in touch, leaving her feeling bitter and betrayed. She was later approached by Emplate who promised she could have her revenge on Jono if she helped him to capture Generation X. Gayle agreed and fulfilled her part of the bargain, but Emplate reneged on his. She appears to have faked her paralysis to make Jono feel guilty. They seem to have forgiven each other after the Emplate incident.
Paige Guthrie (Husk)First Appearance: X-Force (1st Series) # 32 (possibly New Mutants (1st Series) # 42)
Profile: Paige and Jono met when they both joined Generation X. Although there was an immediate attraction between the two of them, Jono refused to act on it and held Paige at something of a distance, believing that he could not offer her the type of life she deserved. Despite this, she continued to show her interest, going so far as to kiss him on one occassion (an event which resulted in the destruction of the girls' dormitory). Some time later, Jono confessed his feelings to Paige just before she left for an extended trip home. When she returned, however, he gave her the cold shoulder and their relationship never really recovered. Although he never again acted on his feelings, it remained clear that Jono felt strongly for Paige. She eventually moved on and he used his jealousy over her relationship with Warren Worthington as a cover story when joining Weapon X.
RanaFirst Appearance: Generation X # 71
Profile: There seemed to be an immediate attraction between Jono and Rana when they encountered each other in a record store in New York. However, when Jono spoke to Rana she was so startled that she ran out of the store and into traffic. After pushing her out of the way of an oncoming van, Jono learned that Rana was deaf which is why she had been so shocked to 'hear' Jono. They spent the day together and Rana gave Jono her address, making him promise to write to her, before kissing him goodbye. Although Jono clearly liked Rana, he threw her address away, believing that she believed better than a mutant like him.
Sugar KaneFirst Appearance: Uncanny X-Men # 395
Profile: After a chance meeting in London where Jono stopped a group of fans from overruning her, Sugar Kane, a well-known popstar, and Jono became involved. Their relationship garnered massive media attention, making the front pages of tabloid publications and featuring on televised gossip programmes. When the tabloids began reporting that Sugar was pregnant with Jono's baby, her manager staged a fake abduction to get her away from the negative press attention. Afterwards, Sugar met secretly with Jono to tell him that their relationship had just been a way for her to advance her career.
AmberFirst Appearance: Chamber # 1
Profile: Amber was the first person that Jono met when he went undercover at Empire State University for the X-Men. He soon confessed his true motives to her and she helped him with his investigations into what was happening on campus. Although Amber kissed him, Jono thought he only liked her as a friend. Later, after realising that her roommate was actually Amber in another form - an attractive 'normal' form - Jono tried to initiate a kiss, but Amber slapped him, telling him that she didn't want to be with someone who seemed to judge beauty on such a superficial level.
AmandaFirst Appearance: Weapon X (1st Series) # 16
Profile: An agent in the Weapon X programme, Amanda flirted openly with Jono on their first meeting. Though Jono fumbled the exchange somewhat (not used to being referred to as a 'cutey'), at some point they formed a sexual relationship. Jono's feelings towards Amanda were unclear and he seemed to be using her to learn more about the Weapon X programme.
